Named for someone who truly embodied the phrase, Larger Than Life is dedicated to the memory of Nick Gergesha, our cherished friend and longtime Hafis Taproom Supervisor.

Nick's kindness, positivity, and unwavering enthusiasm left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. We are deeply grateful for the years we shared with him and for the joy he brought to Bellwoods each and every day.

The recipe was spearheaded by Hafis Brewer Cole, who chose to brew a DIPA in honour of Nick's favourite style of beer, while the label was designed by Isaac from the Bellwoods marketing team in collaboration with Doublenaut. Both Cole and Isaac were close friends, colleagues, and bandmates of Nick.

Brewed with Simcoe, Simcoe Dynaboost, Citra, and Kohia Nelson hops, this bold and expressive DIPA is a fitting tribute to Nick's larger-than-life personality, with notes of fresh gooseberry, mango sorbet, and muddled pineapple sage.

Proceeds from Larger Than Life will be donated to the Toronto Humane Society in Nick's memory.
