Our friend Nick, head brewer at HOMES Brewery in Ann Arbor, Michigan visited last month and naturally we invited him to collaborate on a beer with us. The beer in question is a riff on HOMES’ ‘Sherbet’ series.
This sour IPA hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe was conditioned on loads of raspberry and pineapple purée, lending huge fruit flavours and aromas, a beautiful bright red hue, and natural acidity that integrates perfectly with the tart IPA base.
What it looks, smells and tastes like: Bright red, this delicious ale tastes and smells strongly of squished raspberries and tropical fruit, with the significant hop usage amplifying the fruity aromas and adding a pleasant bitterness to the finish.
