Grandma's Boy (2018)

Wild Ale Blend w/ Niagara Shiro Plums
5.8% ALC./VOL.
500mL

After almost 2 years on sabbatical comes the dearly missed Grandma’s Boy. Aged in oak foeders, and emerging from a deep hibernation with Niagara Shiro plums, the 2018 version veers firmly into sour territory, showcasing macerated stone fruit flavour, refined brett character, and lively carbonation.

It’s spiffy enough for a holiday get together, but absolutely fitting for a Tuesday evening with nothing on the horizon but laundry.

What it smells like, what it tastes like:  The 2018 release of Grandma’s boy uses a combination of bright acidity, spritzy carbonation and oak to match bold flavours of apricot, nectarine and plum. Subtle notes of vanilla and sea spray emerge as the beer warms. The finish is tart, dry and leaves a touch of plum skin on the palate.
