Farmageddon is our wild farmhouse ale that we've been brewing, blending, and aging for almost as many years as we've been open. The blending process allows us to maintain a common thread across batches, the aging adds nuanced layers, while the brett and bacteria work hard to create small idiosyncrasies in each release. It's a refined, effervescent, and delicious beer worthy of special occasions and idle weeknights.
Acting as counterpart to Farmageddon with California Zinfandel Grapes, and following afterwards, this version was created by blending a batch of Farmageddon, and then conditioning it briefly on Zinfandel grape lees in a style similar to that of White Zinfandel. The minimal skin contact results in a beer with a characteristic rose hue.
What it smells like, what it tastes like: Characteristic Farmageddon aromatics work well with the brief conditioning time on the Zinfandel grapes, revealing gentle notes tart cherry and Swedish berry showcased in an effervescent body.
