Donkey Venom was one of the first aged sours to leave oak at Bellwoods, and it’s a complex beer that we’ve brewed, blended and transformed many times over the years.
The original Donkey Venom is a rich, dark ale, with a brettiness that brings forward bright levels of acidity and surprisingly fruity flavours.
As for this batch, the time it spent in foeders, along with buckets of raspberries, works to harmonize notes of tart berry, black forest cake and toasted oak.
